Family Session: Cindy, Fai, and Melinda

This is the first attempt to shoot a family session or any type of session over a year and a half.  Life happens and I could not spare anytime on this hobby.  Now life slows down a bit after experiencing the major ups and downs of the the year 2012.  Cheers to 2013!

Rice University. Houston Space Center.

These pictures were taken while me and my fiance visited my relatives in Houston past December (2011).

Isn't the Rice University campus gorgeous? Who would have known?

Cousins a.k.a siblings

Being the only child in my family does not make me a spoiled child. And no, I did not feel lonely growing up. My youngest aunt and uncles were pretty close to my age, and I lived with them. There were many opportunities for bickering and fights. I have many cousins who are way younger than me, whom I consider siblings. Here are a few of their faces:

Soan and Tuan's E-Session

I met Soan during sophomore year in college eight years ago. Thankfully, we still keep in touch. She is one of the nicest and most nurturing people I met. I graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. As a college town, it offered very limited Asian foods. It has great clam chowder and tri-tip sandwiches, however, the nearest decent Vietnamese restaurant locates in San Jose, 2 hr and 30 minutes away. As I remember, she used to cook Bun Rieu (Vietnamese Crab and Tomato Noodles) and fed all of our hungry friends. I thank her for her generosity.

When I heard she was engaged, I happily volunteered to take her engagement sessions. I wish Soan and Tuan the very best. Here a few photos:

My Pups

I love my dogs wholeheartedly. How could I not when they have been with me since 8th grade? My dogs are not only my family members, but also my companions for life. Many people will not be able to understand the unconditional love they have given me throughout my life. As long as I can remember, I have not lived without dogs in my life. This post is dedicated to the furry friends.

Oh, 15 years old.

Cindy and Fai E-Session. Baker Beach.

These pictures are pretty old, but I still wanted to share. I remember how psyched I was when my high school friend, Cindy, agreed to have me as the photographer for their e-session. Since I needed to practice on my photography skills and Cindy felt comfortable with me, this was the opportunity not to be missed.
